Alex Torres

Alex Torres is Head of Engineering at FinTurk, where he builds the backend services, real-time integrations, and advisor-facing interfaces at the core of the platform. He joined as a founding engineer and has played a central role in scaling the platform from beta to enterprise deployment, including the firm's launch with Chicago Partners Wealth Advisors, an $8B RIA.

Alex's experience brings deep technical expertise to the FinTurk team. Before FinTurk, Alex was an embedded software engineer at General Dynamics, writing C++ that talked directly to FPGA hardware on software-defined radio and satellite-based positioning systems. His work spanned RF signal processing, embedded Linux, and cross-architecture porting for defense applications.

Alex holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Arizona State University, where he served as president of the Autonomous Underwater Vehicle Club. He lives in Chicago, where he plays beach volleyball and works with embedded hardware projects on the side.
